Materials:

  • Trizol (Invitrogen)
  • Chloroform
  • Isopropanol
  • RNase free water
  • Potter homogenizer plus appropriate accessories (Stoessel und Pistille)
  • 5 ml syringe
  • 25 guage needle
  • Autoclaved Eppendorf tubes
  • 75% ethanol in DEPC water
